Christmas Pictures 2009

Thanks again to everyone who came to my Holiday Picture Event this year, I had so many people, I had to open up on Sunday as well! I truly appreciate all of the business that you have all brought to me this year and over the last 7 years as my business has grown. I grew substantially this year in particular, and although I'm very grateful during this tough time in our economy and with so many people without jobs, (including my husband), I am having immense trouble keeping up with the workflow as a one woman business. I have hired as much help as I can afford to hire to keep me going, but it's simply not enough. I have had to halt my wedding highlights unfortunately as they take up so much time, and are preventing me from getting the actual weddings/orders/ and all of the other stuff done. I"m really sorry to my couples from late September through November who are so patiently waiting to see some wedding pictures, and who I originally promised highlights to. All I can offer you is my sincere apology that I couldn't keep up, and I truly believe that the pictures will be worth the wait once they are ready!

Thank you to everyone who put their trust in me this year to capture your wedding moments, your graduation pictures, your children and families, and thank you for coming back to me for more.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and Hang In There, they will all be done eventually!!

Meghan and John Sehl 9.19.09

Meghan and John were married on September 19th on a phenomenally gorgeous day up in Gaylord Michigan. Wow, what a beautiful golf course at Treetops resort, and on the way, I passed by this old schoolhouse, and completely fell in love...! I talked them into stopping by for a few pics on the way to the golf course, and sure enough, they are some of my favorites! It was an absolutely perfect beautiful day and wedding, with the ceremony taking place right on the golf course. Finally getting back to blogging! Soooo sorry to all of my couples who have probably been checking for weeks now for their highlights! Something had to give for awhile there I was close to insanity! You may actually get your wedding before I can get to some of these highlights! That's part of the downfall of having wedding(s) every single weekend... it's not humanly possible to keep up! Anyway, waaaay back in September, Will and Rhonda had a beautiful and sunny fall wedding day up in Cadillac! I was happy to travel up north a few times this fall for weddings, and September was a beautiful month this year, (way better than August). It was a bright sunny day, and we went to the lake but I was much more enchanted with the orange brick railroad house across the street! Elisabeth & Scott Boelman 9.11.09

Elisabeth and Scott were married on September 11th, in Kalamazoo. I don't get out that way too often for weddings, so I was really excited to shoot one there. It was well worth it, the wedding was held at a beautiful Methodist church and the ceremony at the Kellogg Manor House which was fabulous. We had limited light to work with this time of year as the sun started going down earlier this time of year, and a late Friday ceremony... but we managed to fit it all in somehow regardless! Lindsey & Jordan Kraft 9.05.09

Jennie & Carl VanDenBerg Highlights

Jennie and Carl were married on one of those windy/rainy August days the 21st to be exact! But we lucked out and had a couple hours of overcast non-rain skies which we took full advantage of at Wallinwood for lots of pictures. As soon as we got back to the church, it rained and rained. Amy and Mike were married in Spring Lake on August 15th, on a beautiful and very hot day, one of the few nicer ones this August! We drove out to the lakeshore for a few fun pictures on the beach before heading to Moss Ridge for the reception. Erin & Justin were married just about 4 weeks ago already, I can't believe how fast the summer has gone! It was a perfect Friday out at Frederick Meijer for the ceremony and then on to San Chez for the celebration. Monday night I had the perfect evening out at Tunnel Park photographing Jeanne and Nate's engagement session... the sun is going down earlier now that September has arrived, but I still had time to capture it coming through the tunnel at Tunnel Park with the perfect light to capture Jeanne and Nate's shadows...
